Course Description

In our RDS Fundamentals and Performance Course, we delve into the nuanced art of mastering red dot sight (RDS) technology to enhance firearm proficiency. This course initiates with an introduction, followed by a safety briefing. We explore the intricate mechanics of body posture and recoil management, emphasizing dot tracking techniques to predict and control movement. Diverse styles of draws, including the innovative "Wave" Grip, are scrutinized, alongside an in-depth analysis of Fitts Law principles, optimizing target acquisition. The day culminates with practical drills like the 3 & 2 Drill, reinforcing red dot performance in close-quarter scenarios.

Student Requirements

To participate in this course, it is imperative that you possess the necessary equipment. This includes a slide mounted red dot pistol, the capacity to carry three magazines, a high-quality holster (excluding Serpas and old leather holsters), 300 rounds of reliable ammunition, eye and ear protection, a Sharpie marker, and, most importantly, an open mind ready to absorb the wealth of knowledge provided.
