Create a named fund in your organization's name. Minimum contribution $5,000.
Members whose agency has declined funding apply for sponsored tuition when they register for a course and attach the denial.
TTPOA training leadership scores every application. You make the final call on your own fund.
Tuition leaves your fund after the officer completes the course and survey. Unused awards return to the fund.
Every year Texas officers are turned away from tactical training because their agency cannot cover the tuition. A TTPOA scholarship fund puts your organization's name on the training that gets them there.
Tuition only, for TTPOA-hosted training courses. Officers cover their own travel and lodging. Tuition leaves your fund only after the officer completes the course and the post-course survey; awards that are not completed within 30 days of the course end date return to your fund automatically.
A five-seat scholarship committee drawn from the Training Advisory Board, a regional representative, an independent member and your own sponsor representative scores every application. TTPOA staff forward the strongest to you, and you approve or decline each award from your sponsor dashboard or straight from the email.
