This course will discuss K9 integration into A SWAT program. Topics will include administrative topics such as SWAT Handler and K9 Selection, benefits and obstacles that might be faced during the integration process as well as training methods for K9 integration and and other K9/SWAT integration methods that have been found useful. The course will discuss SWAT K9 deployments and uses to in order to give a clearer understanding of the K9's role on the team. The class will be very informative for both a full time/part time SWAT operators and supervisors who want more information on the capabilities, usefulness and limitations of a fully trained SWAT K9 and their role in SWAT operations.
