Prerequisites

First day of class will be at the Brownsville Police Department main station located at 600 E. Jackson Street, Brownsville, Texas 78520.  Show up no later than 6:45 am to have time to stretch because the Copper Standard Tet will be given at 7:00 am

Students must be a certified peace officer or active military personnel in good standing with their agency.  Students must be able to provide an agency ID on the first day of the class.

There will be a pass/fail physical assessment the morning of the first day of the class.  The PT assessment will be based on the Cooper "Single Cut Point" Standard.

1.5 mile run under 16:28, 300 meter run under 1:11, 25 push-ups under 1 minute and 29 sit-ups under 1 minute.

STUDENTS WHO FAIL THE PT ASSESSMENT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO REMAIN IN THE CLASS AND WILL NOT GET A REFUND

Equipment Required

•   BDU or other similar uniform
•   Tactical boots (recommended 2 pairs)
•   PT gear and running shoes
•   Long Sleeve shirt, gloves, helmet, tactical vest, gas mask, body armor, eye and ear protection
•   Laptop
•   Pistol w/3 magazines
•   Rifle w/3 magazines
•   pen and paper for note taking
•   800 pistol rounds and 800 rifle rounds
•   Force on Force gear (mask, blue gun, blue rifle, 50 rounds of marking cartridge for both rifle and pistol)
•   Snacks
•   Water
•   Bug Spray

TTPOA and the Brownsville PD will have some blue guns and blue bolts for SIM portion of the training but not many.  If your agency has some, please bring them
