This course was built for the LEO to confidently engage targets from 10 yds out to 300+yds with an AR15 style rifle equipped with a low power variable optic (LPVO) Students will learn the capabilities of their carbine from running it aggressively at close distances to confidently engaging at extended distances.

The class has two primary focuses:

  1. Using the LPVO as a reflex sight on 1x for performance shooting at 50yds and in. Understanding the nuances of the optical system and overcoming the issues that some shooters struggle with when transitioning from a red dot to an LPVO.
  2. Using the optic on higher magnification for identification and increased precision. The use of hasty improvised barricades and positional shooting will be covered in detail.

By the end of the course, students will be confident in their ability to utilize their carbine with a LPVO for any application.
