BODY ARMOR, Primary duty pistol with at least 2 magazines, Rifle with at least 2 magazines, sling, Sam Browne belt, Weapon Mounted Light/ Handheld Light, Eye and ear protection, 300 rounds of .223/.556 and 50 rounds of pistol ammo.
Instructor Biography
Jennifer Schattle joined the Houston Police Department in 2013. She was assigned to Patrol from 2013-2016 and the South Central Divisional Tactical Unit from 2016-2019. She was a part-time member of HPD SWAT 2018-2021 successfully completing Basic SWAT School, Advanced SWAT School, and Operator Training Course. She has a M.Ed. of Secondary Education Degree and is currently assigned to the Houston Police Academy as a Firearms Instructor for Officers and Cadets. Officer Schattle is also a competitive shooter with the HPD Marksmanship Team and is the third female in department history to achieve a Distinguish Expert score on the qualification course on both revolver and semi-automatic pistol.
