Jon has been a police officer with the Austin Police Department for 18 years serving 10 years on patrol and 8 years as a full time firearms and tactics instructor. Jon has been a member of the department’s Counter Assault Strike Team for 13 years and part of the team’s leadership and training cadre for 5 years. Jon has been a competitive shooter for 20 years winning several state and regional level titles. Jon is a founding member of the Austin Police Department Marksmanship Team running law enforcement practical shooting matches for 13 years.
