The Benjamin Guard is a Texas-based tactical training facility dedicated to enhancing the operational readiness of law enforcement professionals. Located on 169 acres in Cumby, TX, we provide mission-focused instruction rooted in real-world experience from U.S. Special Operations, SWAT, and federal security contracting. Our training is designed to meet the evolving threats faced by today’s officers—offering realistic, principle-driven courses that prioritize officer safety, decision-making under stress, and tactical proficiency in high-risk environments.
Our facility includes a purpose-built 6000sqft shoot house, a dedicated Vehicle CQB dynamic range, a precision rifle 1000 yard bay, and a physical training area —giving officers a truly immersive environment to sharpen their skills.

Greg Lapin
With over 23 years in law enforcement and government contracting, Greg is a retired full-time SWAT officer and senior explosive breacher. He’s an expert in CQB, hostage rescue, firearms, and high-performance driving—and a 1st-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt.
Now CEO of FieldCraft Survival, Greg continues to serve by passing down high-level knowledge to law enforcement and military professionals across the country.
Collin Skees
A former Air Force Special Operations JTAC, Collin supported special operations units with close air support before transitioning into high-threat contracting roles with the CIA. He later became a State Department anti-terrorism instructor, training specialized units in global hotspots.
Collin is now the Managing Partner of The Benjamin Guard, a premier tactical training facility in Texas, where he continues to train those who serve on the front lines of danger.
