Born and raised in the Houston area.  Served in the Marine Corps from 67 to 71 with a tour in Vietnam with the 3rd Marine Division and 2 years at 8th & I, Marine Barracks, Washington, DC. Joined the Houston Police Deparment in 1971 and remained until July of 1993. Served four years in patrol, 6.5 years in SWAT, 11 years as a sergeant in Robbery and assistant coordinator for the HPD Hostage Negotiation Team. Completed my post high school education while at HPD graduating from the University of Houston Law School in 1993.  Joined the legal staff at the Houston Police Officers' Union in 1993 and retired as senior counsel in December of 2023 after more than 30 years of service.

I have a private probate and estates practice and stay active in my church at the Fellowship of Montgomery. My wife and I have 3 grown children who all live in the area. We live in Walden on Lake Conroe and enjoy reading, pickleball, golf and being semi-retired. I look forward to serving the interests of the TTPOA.
