This one-day, 8-hour course gives officers practical, repeatable responses for vehicle-based threats, ambush events, casualty care, and rapidly evolving violent encounters. Students will leave with:

  • Practical response options for vehicle ambush events
  • Improved decision making under stress
  • Better use of cover, movement, and communication around vehicles
  • Integrated medical response considerations
  • Scenario-based exposure to rapidly evolving threats
  • A repeatable framework they can take back to the field

Why it matters:

Ambushes are sudden, violent, and unforgiving. This training builds automatic, repeatable responses through stress exposure and repetition. Officers leave with practical, field-tested skills that directly impact survivability and operational effectiveness.

Topics covered include:

  • Fighting from inside or around a vehicle
  • Bail-out drills and actions under fire from driver and passenger seats
  • Day and nighttime (or limited visibility) ambush response drills
  • Alternate shooting positions and tactical movement
  • Use of cover and weapon transitions under stress
  • Movement and communication with teammates under fire
  • Casualty evacuation and Incident Command basics during rescue

Scenarios are based on actual officer-involved case studies.
