Course Overview
TTPOA is proud to host Feathered Serpent Resolutions Group (FSRG) for a 4-day
Tactical Breacher Instructor Course designed for law enforcement professionals seeking
advanced breaching proficiency and instructor-level capability.
This intensive, hands-on course focuses on developing operational breaching skills
while preparing students to teach and implement breaching techniques within their own
agencies. Emphasis is placed on realistic application, utilizing real-world barricades and
live doors, not just training doors, to better replicate operational environments.
Upon successful completion, participants will earn 32 hours of TCOLE credit.

Course Content
This course covers essential and advanced breaching concepts, tools, and
methodologies, including:
-Manual Breaching Techniques (Ram, pry tools, and leverage-based methods)
-Cutting Tools (Bolt cutters, pneumatic cutting tools)
-Window Breaching (break & rake, port & cover)
-Ballistic Breaching (Shotgun breaching and kinetic breaching tools)
-Mechanical Breaching (K-saw and chainsaw applications)
-Armored Vehicle Breaching Operations (Vehicle pushes and pulls)
-Breaching Equipment Selection and Deployment
-Instructor Development & Teaching Methodologies

Prerequisites
Active Law Enforcement or Military personnel
Prior instructor experience (certification not required)
Tactical team affiliation recommended but not required

Required Equipment

 Full tactical loadout:
-Plate carrier
-Operational/duty belt
-Pistol
-Rifle
-Helmet

Personal protective equipment:
-Eye and ear protection
-Gloves
-Long-sleeved shirt
-Duty pistol with 100 rounds
-Duty rifle with 100 rounds
-Breaching shotgun with breaching rounds (if issued) or 25 rounds of birdshot

Optional Equipment
Department-issued or specialty breaching equipment for evaluation and use during the
course.
