Day 1
Welcome to our RDS Pistol Fundamentals and Performance Instructor Course, where we elevate firearm proficiency through the integration of Jedi's methodologies and interactive coach backs. Rooted in the same foundational principles as our RDS Pistol Fundamentals and Performance class, this course empowers participants with the knowledge and skills to become proficient instructors themselves. Day 1 commences with introductions, followed by a safety brief. In alignment with Jedi's methodologies, we delve into the intricacies of zeroing red dots, employing body mechanics and recoil control techniques to enhance accuracy and precision.
Throughout the course, participants engage in interactive coach backs, refining their instructional abilities while honing their own marksmanship skills. Jedi's holistic approach to training is woven into every aspect of the curriculum, fostering a deep understanding of red dot performance and the nuances of trigger control. Practical drills, such as the "Wave" Grip and the 3 & 2 Drill, are supplemented with Jedi-inspired coaching techniques, emphasizing the predictive nature of dot tracking and target acquisition.
Day 2
Builds upon the foundational teachings of Day 1, introducing students to Jedi's three modes of practice—Accuracy, Speed, and Real. Through immersive distance shooting exercises and shape-based target transitions, instructors-in-training gain invaluable insights into optimizing student performance across various scenarios. The pinnacle of the course culminates in the rigorous Black Belt Standards assessment, where participants are challenged to apply Jedi's teachings under pressure.
As the course draws to a close, participants engage in a comprehensive debrief, receiving personalized feedback and guidance. Armed with Jedi's methodologies and a newfound appreciation of RDS Pistol instruction, students of our RDS Pistol Instructor Course are equipped to lead with confidence, imparting invaluable knowledge to future generations of shooters.
Upon completion, all participants will receive a certificate along with a comprehensive package of resources and policy documents tailored to assist individuals in advocating for the adoption of RDS pistols within their respective departments or organizations. These resources include an outline of the course curriculum, detailed explanations of common challenges for not finding the dot, and strategies for effectively implementing RDS training programs. Armed with these invaluable tools, students will not only excel in their own instructional endeavors but also serve as catalysts for advancing RDS technology within their communities and organizations.
