Michael currently serves as the Director of Training and Development for the State of Mississippi Personnel Board.

Michael retired from the Dallas Police Department and, while there, served as an Entry Team Leader with the SWAT team and as the department's less lethal subject matter expert. He was the lead instructor in many SWAT disciplines and has taught at the local, state, national and international levels.  Since leaving Dallas, he has embarked on a career in learning and development and has overseen training departments at various corporate organizations, where he has been responsible for the creation of comprehensive training programs.

Michael is a former TTPOA President.

He has a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice and a Master's degree in Human Capital Development from The University of Southern Mississippi.
