Vehicle and School Bus Assault Course

When: July 29-30, 2024 (Monday-Tuesday) in Boerne Texas. The course begins at 0800 Monday July 29.

Course Details: TAP-UP 540 will be hosting a 16-hour TCOLE credit Vehicle and School Bus Assault Course

The course begins at the 124 Old San Antonio Rd Boerne, TX 78006

You will be required to provide transportation for you and your gear to different training venues in and around the Boerne Texas area.

This course will be taught by a cadre current active-duty SWAT Operators with over 45 combined years of experience.

The topics covered will be:
1. School Bus Assaults-General
2. Various buses and their characteristics
3. Assault vehicle load out
4. Safety Issues
5. Contingency Plans

This course will be hands on and will require physical exertion and many hours of practical exercises.

Prerequisites:
Students must be a certified peace officer or active-duty military personnel in good standing with their agency. Students must be able to provide an agency ID on the first day of class.

Required Equipment:
All normal tactical equipment including, BDU or other similar tactical uniform, tactical boots, long sleeve shirt, gloves, soft body armor / plate carrier, eye and hearing protections, groin protection, pen and paper for note taking.

Optional: Helmet, gas mask, heavy tactical vest

Bring a laptop – a zip-drive will be handed out on Day 1

Ammunition:
NO LIVE AMMUNITION, NO MAGAZINES

Please bring simmunition equipment that you may have access to including safety gear, pistols and or rifles and 50 rounds of simmunition ammo for rifle and or pistol.
UTM .556 rifle blue bolt are available to rent for the course (Contact Chris Rangel about UTM rentals).
