Night Vision / Laser & RDS Environments Course (3 days)

Too often the lack of familiarization and limited use of NV equipment by Law Enforcement leads to confusion and to potential poor mission execution. With correct instruction, repetition and reinforcement of the basics, students will build the knowledge and correct repetitions to be effective with NV, laser and RDS under NODS use and deployment. This course is a task based dark environment course. The students will learn the use of NV and lasers through multiple tasks that will require all to be done in darkness using only NV devices. The CQB portion will be footwork and movement in structures and will culminate in MMR / SIMS type munitions.  On day 3 the lessons learned will be validated on a live range with visible laser and NV under IR laser drills on an indoor range in darkness.  There will also be RDS handgun drills to expose students to the benefits of handgun RDS in low and no light environments. Everything we do in this class outside of the initial classroom portion will be done in low / no light to enforce and enhance learning by successful repetition. The team assigned tasks will be completed and graded on time and correct execution. Vendors from several NV and laser equipment companies will give briefs on equipment and capabilities on each training day and will be available for Q&A during breaks.
