Feathered Serpent Resolutions Group Firearms Instructor Course is designed to provide experienced officers with comprehensive training in firearms handling. This course is essential for enhancing your expertise in organizing and delivering effective firearms instruction. Students will develop proficiency in diagnosing and addressing student challenges, analyzing and scoring targets, designing engaging courses of fire, and meticulously documenting police firearms training. The course will also equip you with the skills to create and implement extensive firearms training proprams. By the conclusion of the course, you will have not only refined your shooting skills but also enhanced your instructional abilities and gain experience in a multitude of weapon platforms
The course will meet and surpass the requirements set forth by the Texas Commision on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) standards for Firearms Insturctor Course #2222
Prerequisites:
Completion of the TCOLE Basic Instructor Course #1014 is required before enrollment.
Course Completion Requirements:
Participants must successfully complete the TCOLE firearms instructor qualification with a minimum score of 90% on the first day of the course (2 attempts permitted)
A graded written examination
Evaluation through graded teach back modules and the creation of a live fire course

*Duty/range belt
*Semi-automatic handgun with three magazines (minimum, more is encouraged)
*Duty Shotgun (Pump or Semi-Auto)
*Eye and ear protection
*Note-taking materials
*Black markers
Recommended Equipment:
*Duty AR-15 style rifle
*Plate Carrier or Soft Body Armor
*Laptop
*Handheld Flashlight
*Weapons maintenance tools
Minimum Ammunition Requirements:
*500 rounds of pistol ammunition
*15 shotgun slugs
*50 shotgun 9-pellet 00 buckshot
*100 rounds of .223/5.56 ammunition
