This is a TCOLE course to certify the officers to carry a Patrol Rifle while on duty and deploy the rifle responsibly, with the knowledge of how to effectively use it as a tool for success in any aspect of law enforcement.
This course covers practical marksmanship, dry fire, common malfunctions and corrective actions, and the breakdown/maintenance of the patrol rifle. This course will begin in the classroom and quickly move out on the range for practical exercises.
This course far exceeds the TCOLE requirements and will give students a better understanding of what to look for in their training journey.

Required equipment:
AR15 style Patrol Rifle (optics are highly advised, Red dots or LPVO)
Reliable pistol with holster
Range/duty belt
Min 3 Rifle/pistol Magazines, and ability to carry them (belt/vest or otherwise)
Note taking material
Eye and ear protection
Appropriate Range clothing for forecasted weather
1200 rounds of rifle ammunition (no green tip or armor piercing)
150 rounds of pistol ammunition
Rifle sling (preferably 2 point)
Rifle mounted weapon light
