Fred is a trial lawyer, and former police officer.  He has defended Texas law enforcement officers and their entities since 1992.  He retired as the Deputy Manager of Litigation at the Harris County Attorney's Office in June 2016.  He previously serves as General Counsel to the Houston Police Officers Union. Fred served in the US Army from 1970-1973 as a Police Detachment Operations officer.  He worked as a Houston Police Officer from 1975 until 1990 serving in patrol, vice, and SWAT.  He graduated from the South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas in 1989.
