PRACTICAL MOBILE SURVEILLANCE and SMALL TEAM FUGITIVE APPREHENSION CQB COURSE

Description: This 40 Hour/4-Day course will focus on surveillance principles, designed as an introduction for those who haven’t been formally trained, as well as mission enhancing for law enforcement officers who routinely use surveillance as one of their investigative techniques as well as covering small team fugitive apprehension arrest tactics. This course will cover a wide range of surveillance techniques, including the application of multiple technical surveillance assets. One of the major investigative tools used to combat crime and criminal organizations is surveillance. The age-old surveillance fundamentals, coupled with today’s technology, give law enforcement officers the potential to locate criminals and dismantle criminal organizations. Small team vehicle assaults and CQB tactics and clearance techniques will also be covered in this course of instruction. Upon completion of this course, officers will be able to successfully integrate mobile, foot, and multi-mode surveillance into their operational duties in addition to understanding small team fugitive apprehension tactics, techniques, and procedures. This will greatly enhance overall mission capabilities giving the officer confidence to conduct a wide range of surveillance and small unit tactical operations for domestic law enforcement. Mission planning, decision making, and risk mitigation will also be covered in depth throughout this course

This course will include a classroom block of instruction covering vehicle assaults, small team fugitive apprehension CQB tactics, multiple types of surveillance, surveillance techniques, voice procedures, demeanor, and operational planning. This course will also include practical application, where officers will apply their classroom knowledge in the field to include surveillance follows and high-risk suspect apprehension arrests. Officers will be given a scenario in which they will perform mobile, foot, and multi-mode surveillance or conduct a wide range of apprehension tactical scenarios. The practical exercises will provide officers with an experience that mimics some of the complex criminal organizations and other crimes in which surveillance is needed. These scenarios challenge the officer to remain covert while attempting to follow the suspects then instill tatical decision making problem solving techniques when conducting the apprehension while working in a dynamic high threat environment.

 INSTRUCTOR BIO

 

Trey Lindsey is the founder and CEO of Gallowglass Guardian Group; a tactical, security, and defense consulting company based out of Dallas, Texas. Trey served in the United States Navy for over 20 years, 18 of which were spent as a Navy SEAL including 13 years as a member of the Navy’s Tier 1 Special Mission Unit, SEAL Team 6. Throughout his time at Team 6, Trey held a variety of senior enlisted leadership positions. He also served as a Naval Security Forces Police Officer with a specialty is physical security and anti-terrorism. A seasoned combat veteran, Trey participated in more than a dozen operational deployments oversees during his career.

Leveraging his extensive military experience, he has dedicated his post-military career through his company Gallowglass Guardian Group, to enhancing training proficiencies for law enforcement, military and civilians through security and defense consulting, tactical training courses, leadership and team building as well as communications and public speaking. He holds a bachelor’s degree from American Military University in Entrepreneurship. Trey holds a license through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE PID 534875) and is commissioned through Allen Texas PD. He also holds a commission through Louisiana POST in Richland Parish Louisiana and is an adjunct instructor for the National Tactical Officers Association. Trey is also the Co-founder and CEO of TSG Blades, a knife design company special in tactical knives geared toward the end user for a wide range of tactical and operational priorities.  

 Jacquelyn Reed served 21 years in the Military, 15 of which have been in Navy Special Operations as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician, directly attached to Navy SEAL Teams deploying to various global theaters. She was screened and selected to operate and deploy with Special Mission Units, where she broke glass ceilings by becoming the first female Operations Leader for Sensitive Activities. As a surveillance team leader, she was responsible for directing and managing multiple diverse 20-person teams overseas, executing national-level priorities in countering strategic adversaries. Jacquelyn finished out a venerable 21-year career, earning titles such as executive coach and mentor, and worked as a Women in Special Operations Forces Instructor (WISOF, a pioneering role), assigned to the Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) schoolhouse in Coronado, CA. Her direct influence provided the Naval Special Warfare Enterprise with clear guidelines to cultivate an environment of diversity and inclusion for all. After retiring from the Military, she felt inspired to share her knowledge, experience, and passions with other women. Now owner and operator of her company, Athena Defense Group, her goal is to teach, inspire, and train women invaluable techniques. She hopes to inspire personal growth and confidence through self-defense classes, helping others unlock their true potential and live empowered lives.
