Course Description:

40 hour - Law Enforcement, DOW, and Certified Personal Protection Officers 

Pre-requisite Basic Sniper, DDM, or Precision Rifle Certification

Students will learn to build stable and repeatable shooting positions using tripods, barricades, vehicles, rooftops, elevated structures, and other improvised support systems commonly encountered during law enforcement operations. Training emphasizes rapid problem-solving, time management, target discrimination, and the disciplined application of precision fire while working under realistic operational constraints.

 

STUDENT MATERIALS: 

1.       Handgun – A Law Enforcement/Security Duty Style Firearm 

2.       Rifle – A Law Enforcement/Security Duty Style sniper rifle 

3.       Quality scope with adjustable turrets and MIL or MOA reticle (min 10x magnification)

4.       Bipod

5.       Tripod

6.       Spotting scope or binoculars

7.       Rear Bag

8.       Calculator/Ballistic Calculator

9.       Holster, Duty Belt, Magazine/Speed loader Pouches (Holster must be duty-type, strong-side draw, equipped with a retention system and secured to the duty belt. Thigh Rigs are accepted if you plan to carry on duty.)

10.   Holster and Magazine Pouch for Concealed Carry Plain Clothes Operations

11.   Pistol Ammunition – 250 rounds of Full Metal Jackets factory load, non-steel

12.   Rifle Ammunition – 500 rounds of Full Metal Jackets factory load, non-steel

13.  Appropriate Clothing - Students should bring appropriate clothing to participate in the range exercises consistent with prevailing weather conditions. Range exercises will be conducted in inclement weather unless a safety hazard exists.

14.  Cleaning Equipment – For your firearm, will be inspected for service ability

Recently retired after 20 years of honorable service in the U.S. Coast Guard, specializing in counterterrorism operations. Served with elite counter-terrorism units, initially as a Direct-Action Section (DAS) Operator/ Troop Leader, supporting overseas missions and national security events within the U.S. as part of a quick reaction force.

For the past 6 years, served as the Sniper/Reconnaissance Team Leader at Maritime Security Response Team-East (MSRT-East), leading critical over-watch and counter-sniper operations. Provided advanced reconnaissance in support of counter-drug missions, anti-human trafficking operations, plain clothes collections, and close target surveillance—both domestically and abroad—for various U.S. government agencies.

He is passionately committed to teaching, developing and refining the skills and mindset needed to operate decisively and effectively in high-risk, dynamic situations.

Qualifications: Close Quarter Combat Instructor, Advanced Marksmanship Instructor, Long Range Shooting and Reconnaissance.
