Course Overview

The TTPOA with the Corpus Christi Police Dept  SWAT Team will be hosting a 24-hour Armored Vehicle Operations Course December 8th-10th in Corpus Christi Texas. This 24-hour course will expose teams to the offensive and defensive tactical capabilities of armored vehicles.  This hands-on course will focus on task specific training for drivers, operators, and team leaders and building/integrating training programs. Time & Location

The course begins at 8:00 am December 8th at the Corpus Christi Police Department Range located at 9601 Hearns Ferry Rd. off Carbon Plant Rd. at IH37 in Corpus Christi, TX.

• Deployment preparation
• Ballistic capabilities
• Breaching capabilities/ techniques
• Drivin skill develoment
• Deployment considerations
• Deployment of chemical agents
• Driver requirements and responsibilities
• Incident debriefs
• Mobile shield techniques
• Vehicle/Bus assaults
• Shooting platforms in and around vehicles
• Material creation and implementation for training purposes
• Liability

Prerequisites:

This course will require a level of physical activity. Participants will be expected to participate during the physical (shooting) drills, driving drills, and operations planning included in this course.

Bring a good attitude, open mind, and willingness to participate to the best of your ability

Bring ALL tactical equipment to include:

•       Body armor
•       Plate carriers
•       Helmet
•       Eye and ear protection
•       Gas mask
•       Gloves
•       Handheld light
•       Duty pistol (w/ weapon mounted light if possible and 3 magazines)300 rounds of pistol ammoDuty rifle (w/ optic, sling, BUIS, and 3 magazines)
•       300 rounds of rifle ammo.
