This is designed for prospective, new and experienced team leaders of hostage (crisis) negotiating teams. This team leadership course will cover:

• Elements of a Crisis Negotiating Team, including evaluating proficiency

• Responsibilities of a team leader and decision-making including callout debriefings as examples.

• Characteristics of good team leaders

• Team operation and coordination

• Working with incident command

• Working with and training with SWAT

• New member selection (including personality characteristics) and monthly team training.

• Group dynamics and organization

• Kidnap negotiations and other uses of negotiating teams.

• Equipment, supplies, and SOP’s
