The student will be able to gather intelligence and evaluate a target so as to choose the correct breaching method for the given target. In doing so, the student will be able to identify the explosive materials used (I,e, blasting caps), the hazards involved, target make-up, and proper breaching selection. The student will be tested on the above objectives both through a practical exercise as well as a written exam.

Explosive breaching charges work on the principals of PUSH, Cut or Blast to achive the results needed to make entry. By using one or more of these principals to exploit the weaknesses present in a target the breacher should be capable of creating an entry point with minimal danger to anyone involved.

This course will consist of practical hands-on exercises under the guidance of a certified instructor. Theory and background information will be taught as each technique is introduced.
