The TTPOA along with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office is hosting Tap-Rack Tactical's Ballistic Shield Instructor Course

Tap-Rack Tactical will certify the student to instruct officers using ANY ballistic shield. This is not a factory course on any specific model.  We will cover different levels of protection, construction, accessories, and applications. Topics covered include marksmanship, weapon handling/manipulation, defensive tactics, arrests, cuffing, and integration into Patrol or SWAT use. 

Officers attending this training will receive the PPT, range plans, proprietary targets, sample policy, and qualification courses.

Class hours are 0800-1700

Length: 2 days

Equipment list:

• Ballistic Shield
• Duty pistol with holster
• Patrol rifle
• 500 rounds pistol
• 50 rounds rifle
• 5 dummy pistol rounds
• 10 paper qualfication/silhouette targets
• Simunition pistol conversion with 50 rounds of marking cartridges.
• Note taking material
• Comfortable appropriate clothing.  Some training will take place outdoors
