Course Description
This one-day, women’s-only course provides practical carbine and pistol instruction with an emphasis on shooting fundamentals and hands-on learning. The course covers basic data requirements, shooting from props, and basic drills that reinforce the learning objectives and support continued skill
development. Training will take place at Strategic Shooting Dynamics in Dilley, Texas, with ranges from 3 to 300 meters.

Course Objective
 Engage targets faster and more accurately with carbine and pistol.
 Review and apply basic marksmanship fundamentals.
 Collect and understand basic data requirements for the firearms used in the course.
 Learn how to use common barricades and props.
 Reinforce learning objectives through basic drills and instructor feedback.

Who This Is For
Female law enforcement officers seeking practical carbine and pistol instruction and a stronger foundation for continued training.

Prerequisites
 Must be a current sworn female law enforcement officer.

Required Equipment
 Service carbine with mounted sight and a sling.
 Service pistol with a secure holster appropriate for the firearm.
 Magazines and magazine pouches for both firearms.
 Carbine ammunition: 300 rounds. Pistol ammunition: 300 rounds.
 Eye protection and hearing protection.
 Note-taking materials.
 Weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear.
 Food, drinking water, and hydration supplies.

Optional or Recommended Equipment
 Shooting bag, such as an Armageddon Gear Game Changer. Extra bags will be available for use.
 Knee pads, rain gear, and a range bag or pack.
 Cleaning kit and basic firearm tools.

Facilities and Lodging
Training will use SSD’s range facilities and available props. Course distances will range from 3 to 300 meters.

Onsite lodging is available at a rate of $109 per night per room. There are 14 single-occupancy spaces with private entry, a central kitchen, and a bathroom/shower shared with one other person. Eight additional single-occupancy rooms have shared kitchen and bathroom/shower facilities. Full kitchens and outdoor grills are available, with other onsite lodging options beyond the rooms listed.

Bring your lunch. Refrigerators, a microwave, and kitchen access are available. Food and drinks are not provided. Snacks, drinks, and basic microwavable food are available for purchase from onsite vending.
