Course Details:
TTPOA in conjunction with D/FW International Airport DPS SWAT is happy to announce an aircraft assault school.  D/FW's SWAT has honed the aircraft assault throughout the years through their close work with military units and the FBI, hands on and via research.  D/FW SWAT cadre have instructed aircraft assaults to agencies in Arizona, Arkansas, and throughout Texas.  Sergeants Jay Shipp, Greg Potter, and Marc Wewee have over 40 years combined experience with D/FW Airport SWAT and have refined the current assault plan.

There will be class room work and hands on movements conducted on DFW Airport SWAT's full size training aircraft.  Students will work up from walk through movements to paper targets and finally force-on-force full scale assaults.

Class will begin on Tuesday, October 9 at 0800 hours at DFW DPS Station 1 classroom.  2900 E. 28th Street, DFW Airport, TX 75261.

 
Course Topics:

Preplanning and intelligence gathering

aircraft familiarization

equipment concerns

breaching techniques and locations

sniper usage

fields of fire once inside

evacuation procedures.

 
Prerequisites
Due to the sensitive nature of information in this class, only current law enforcement or military personnel in good standing with your agency will be allowed.  Be prepared to show proof of employment on the first day of class.
 
Required Equipment

All Tactical gear associated with call out. 

Simunitions weapon systems, rifle and pistol. 

Simunitions safety equipment if available.  200 rounds of Simunitions.

Students should register for this class via the TTPOA Training Calendar located on the site www.ttpoa.org/training.  The preferred method of payment is credit card while registering on the web site.
