Course Details:
The TTPOA in conjunction with Tiger Valley Training Facility in Waco will conduct an Advanced Precision Rifle Course.  The class will cover 44 hours of both classroom and field work.  Class runs Monday May 17th through Friday May 21st 2010.  Lead instructor will be T.J. Pilling.  T.J. has 24 years experience as a SWAT Team Precision Marksmen and now owns Tiger Valley, a training facility in Waco Texas.  Tiger Valley is a certified State Department training site, which currently runs DDM classes for contractors working in foreign countries.  The range is equipped with both a KD 1000- yard range with pit service as well as UKD ranges, which have the ability to shoot into building down range.  Shooting can also be done from Huey helicopter mock-up as well as 5 story angled shots from tower. 
 
Course Topics:
The course will consist of but not limited to:  Sound shooting fundamentals, shooting positions, prone and forced, reading the wind, angled shooting, hide building, shooting on call, shooting through glass, low light shooting, moving, stationary and stop and go targets to 800 yards, stalking into position, introduction to the .50 rifle, out of position shooting as well as many others.
 
Prerequisites

All students must be current law enforcement or active duty military personnel.  Students should be prepared to show proper identification

All Students should have attended a formal basic precision rifle class and have sound working knowledge of their weapon system

All students will be required to pass a qualification course to receive certification
 
Required Equipment
Shooter should bring a precision rifle and scope capable of 1 moa accuracy.  All scopes should have external adjustments.  Sling, bipod, cleaning gear, 400 rds ammo, shooting mat, log book, rain gear, calculator, clothing suitable for stalking.

The fee for the course is $300.  Registration must be done on-line at http://www.ttpoa.org/  (Training Calendar). Tiger Valley Location: From Interstate 35 Exit 339 (Lake Waco / Lake Shore Drive exit), take Loop 340 eastward to HWY 84 (approximately 1 mile). *MAP* Proceed on HWY 84 East approximately 13 miles to Watt (sign on both sides of post on right). Continue to the top of the next rise. The main gate is on the left between two modular homes (behind the cell phone antenna). The range is to the west of LCR 126 (Joe Russell Road). Christmas Creek is approximately .3 mile east of the range.
